These Terms of Use govern your use of the Rosetta app. By using Rosetta you accept these terms.
Use of the app
Rosetta is a local text-message encryption app, intended for personal use and for communicating with people who share a secret phrase with you. You are responsible for using the app lawfully.
Free and Pro
- Free: unlimited decryption, 3 encryptions per day, phrase entered manually each session.
- Pro: unlimited encryption, phrase saved locally on the device, full Rosetta keyboard.
Subscription and pricing
Rosetta Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription at 4,99 €/month or 39,99 €/year, as shown inside the app. A 3-day free trial may be offered when available.
Payment, renewal and cancellation
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at purchase confirmation.
- The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple ID Settings, subscriptions section.
- Refunds, if any, follow Apple’s App Store rules.
User responsibility
You are responsible for your secret phrase and how you share it. Rosetta cannot recover phrases or messages if the phrase is lost or forgotten.
No security guarantee
Rosetta uses well-known cryptographic algorithms, but no software system is free from risk in every circumstance. By using Rosetta you accept that the app does not constitute an unconditional security guarantee.
Lawful use
You must not use Rosetta for illegal activities or to harm others.
“As is” provision
Rosetta is provided “as is”, without express or implied warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of the app.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms over time. The last update date is shown at the bottom of the page.
